Conveniently located between Statesville, Mooresville, Salisbury, and Mocksville, our venue is surrounded by various hotel or VRBO accommodation options for your guests. Our indoor venue comfortably seats 75 or up to 100 guests with a layout that blends seated and cocktail-style tables. By opening the barn doors, we extend the space to include 50 additional guests on our covered porch. The expansive 70-acre property offers flexible options for larger gatherings, tailored to the specifics of your event.

Our venue is equipped with HVAC and ceiling fans indoors. As a lofted barn venue, certain seasons may benefit from additional portable heaters or fans, which we can provide.

Sloop Barn is a versatile venue perfect for weddings, rehearsal dinners, bridal and baby showers, anniversaries, birthdays, retirements, corporate events, meetings, and fundraisers. Amenities include onsite parking, a bridal suite, a prep kitchen, an indoor bar, two restrooms, and covered outdoor porches.

You may choose to rent the barn and manage the details independently, adhering to our rental policies, or opt for a stress-free experience with our in-house event planner. Our planner, familiar with local vendors and our facilities, can help design and coordinate your event. For weddings, an insured event planner is mandatory. Additional charges may apply for using external planners requiring extra coordination.

Absolutely! While we can recommend vendors familiar with our facilities, you are welcome to use your preferred vendors, provided they submit proof of insurance.

Yes, all alcohol must be served by a licensed and insured bartender. If you wish to serve liquor, a Limited Special Occasion license from the NC ABC Commission is necessary. Please note that serving shots is not permitted.

For events with bar service, on-site security may be required, which is paid for by the client. This is determined on a case-by-case basis and discussed well in advance.

Events should conclude in time for all guests and vendors to vacate the property and for personal items to be collected by the time specified in your contract, typically no later than 11:00 PM.

Clients are responsible for removing their decorations and gifts. Our team will manage general janitorial services and venue cleanup.

Yes, all clients must secure a minimum $1 million liability insurance policy, which can be obtained from your choice of provider or via online options. Sloop Barn, LLC must be listed as an additional insured at least 60 days before your event.

An initial payment along with a nonrefundable security deposit is required upon signing your contract to secure your date. The final payment is due 60 days before your event. Detailed payment schedules are provided at the outset for your convenience.

We accept cash, checks, and Venmo for payment.

Our venue offers ample parking. For larger events, we recommend carpooling or shuttles to optimize traffic flow and parking efficiency. Parking assistance is available for an additional fee if needed.
